Thompkins scores 35 as Bulldogs slow FAU, 77-60

Two minutes into Wednesday’s 77-60 victory, Georgia men’s basketball head coach Mark Fox told his assistant coaches he expected Trey Thompkins to score 40 points.

And the sophomore from Lithonia nearly made Fox a prophet, as he scored a career-high 35 points, 20 in the second half, along with 15 rebounds as the Dogs (6-4) overcame a one-point halftime to blow out Florida Atlantic (5-6) in Stegeman Coliseum.
