Univ. researcher links sex and weather

Women who live closer to the equator are more likely to birth baby girls than boys, according to the first global birth-sex ratio study published by a University professor.

Researcher Kristen Navara used data from the CIA World Fact Book through a 10-year period to analyze the statistics of countries’ sex ratios at birth.
