Hokie guard hurts Dogs

Georgia threw a host of different defenses at Virginia Tech in an effort to stop Hokie guard Malcolm Delaney, including a junk defense – box-and-1 – at one point.

But nothing proved capable of stopping Delaney Sunday afternoon.

The Hokies’ junior torched Georgia for 31 points on 10-19 shooting, as Delaney almost single-handedly propelled Virginia Tech (6-1) past Georgia (4-3) 74-62 in front of a hostile sea of Hokie orange at Cassell Arena.
