UGA afflicted by postponed H1N1 flu vaccines

In early fall, the University Health Center applied for 9,000 vaccines to combat the swine flu pandemic. Two weeks ago, 100 H1N1 vaccines arrived on campus – with no word of when the other 8,900 will follow.

Ronald Forehand, medical director for the University Health Center, said these 100 doses went to top-priority students and employees who work directly with sick students.
